HR Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive HR Officer to join our team in Port Harcourt. The role focuses on managing the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment through onboarding and ongoing support, ensuring a compliant and engaging workplace. You will collaborate with department heads to align HR initiatives with business goals and foster a positive organizational culture.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment activities, manage job postings, conduct candidate screenings, and ensure a smooth hiring process.
• Oversee onboarding procedures, prepare employment contracts, and maintain accurate employee documentation.
• Update, safeguard, and regularly audit personnel records and HR databases for data integrity.
• Assist with employee engagement programs and support performance management cycles.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Respond promptly to staff inquiries and perform general HR administrative duties.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Officer or in a comparable HR role.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal abilities.
• Preference for candidates residing near Rumuibekwe, Artillery, Port Harcourt.
• Experience in the logistics or shipping sector is an added advantage.
