Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead the housekeeping team at Grand Bezer Nigeria Limited, ensuring that guest rooms, corridors, and public areas meet the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role combines quality control, staff management, and guest service to maintain an exceptional hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to verify compliance with hygiene and aesthetic standards.
• Lead pre‑shift briefings, assign tasks and room sections to attendants, and monitor performance for efficiency and detail.
• Orient and train new housekeeping staff on proper chemical handling, commercial cleaning techniques, and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, assist with ordering, and perform routine stock counts.
• Identify and log equipment failures, plumbing issues, or damaged furniture, coordinating with the maintenance department.
• Address guest complaints, fulfill special requests such as extra towels or cribs, and manage lost‑and‑found items.

Required profile

• Minimum of a Diploma.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar housekeeping supervisory role.

Required skills

• Chemical handling.
• Commercial cleaning techniques.
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures for housekeeping.
