Hotel Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Accountant to join our finance team in Idu, Abuja. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for the hotel, preparing statutory reports, and supporting budgeting and cash management activities. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic hospitality environment while applying your accounting expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Record and organize all financial transactions to keep accounting records up‑to‑date.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely supplier payments and customer collections.
• Conduct internal audits of financial transactions and hotel operations for compliance and fraud detection.
• Assist in budgeting, monitor departmental spending and analyse variances.
• Administer payroll, calculating salaries, deductions and taxes accurately.
• Prepare and file tax returns, maintaining statutory reporting records.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts, bank deposits and revenue from all hotel departments.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Accounting from a recognized university.
• Professional certification: ICAN, ANAN or ACCA.
• 4‑6 years of proven experience in the hospitality industry.
• Strong management and financial accounting abilities.
• Immediate availability to start.
