Head of Tracking Devices Configuration & Technical Support

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Head of Tracking Devices Configuration & Technical Support to lead the deployment and maintenance of advanced vehicle tracking solutions across our fleet. You will oversee a team of technicians while ensuring high‑quality technical support for clients and field operations.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and deploy GPS tracking devices for diverse vehicle types and assets.
• Set up and manage CANbus integrations, fuel level sensors, RFID, temperature sensors, relay immobilizers, and driver‑behavior monitoring systems.
• Program communication protocols such as TCP/IP, APN settings, SMS commands, and GPRS/LTE connectivity.
• Perform firmware upgrades, device provisioning, and maintain technical documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, including GPS signal loss, GSM failures, CANbus faults, sensor calibration, and power‑supply problems.
• Repair damaged circuits, conduct PCB soldering, and replace electronic components as needed.
• Lead and supervise installation/configuration technicians, providing advanced technical support to field teams and clients.
• Maintain accurate records of configured devices and produce technical reports and maintenance logs.

Required profile

• Minimum HND qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in vehicle tracking device configuration or a similar technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of CANbus, fuel monitoring, RFID, sensor technologies, and relay immobilizers.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair electronic hardware, including PCB troubleshooting and soldering.
• Good understanding of networking concepts and GPS/GSM/GPRS/LTE communication protocols.
