Head of Programmes

About the role

The Head of Programmes will provide strategic leadership for Coinbox Limited’s development initiatives, translating organisational goals into effective programme strategies. This senior role oversees the design, implementation and continuous improvement of multi‑sector projects while ensuring alignment with donor expectations and organisational sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute programme strategies that advance organisational objectives.
• Lead, coach and mentor Programme Managers and Coordinators.
• Design programme frameworks, implementation plans and quality assurance systems.
• Oversee complex, multi‑sector development projects from inception to completion.
• Establish MEAL frameworks, KPIs and reporting systems to measure impact.
• Manage programme budgets, monitor expenditures and ensure compliance with approved financial plans.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies and ensure adherence to donor and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, development partners and community stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Project Management or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience managing large‑scale development programmes.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing programme teams.
• Strong understanding of donor requirements, safeguarding standards and compliance.
