Head of Operations

About the role

OneWallet Microfinance Bank is seeking a Head of Operations to lead its banking and fintech operations in Nigeria. The role will oversee day‑to‑day activities, ensure service excellence, and drive operational efficiency across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily banking and fintech operations, including customer and account management.
• Oversee transaction processing, settlement, and service delivery.
• Strengthen operational controls, governance frameworks, and SOPs.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Technology, Finance, Compliance, Customer Experience and external partners.
• Build, mentor and manage a high‑performing Operations team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or related field (MBA/MSc a plus).
• Minimum 6 years experience in banking, payments or fintech operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable operational improvements.
