Head of Operations

About the role

The Head of Operations will lead the daily haulage and logistics activities for Quest Realtors and Consulting Services across Ibadan and Oyo State. This senior position is responsible for ensuring efficient fleet utilization, compliance with regulations, and delivering high‑quality service to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily haulage operations, including fleet scheduling, routing, and cargo delivery.
• Develop and enforce operational policies, SOPs, and KPIs to improve efficiency.
• Manage fleet utilization, maintenance workshops, and ensure roadworthiness of all vehicles.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise drivers, logistics officers, and support staff.
• Coordinate with clients, government agencies, and transport unions.
• Monitor operational costs, implement cost‑control measures, and work with Finance on billing and revenue collection.
• Provide strategic recommendations for fleet expansion, route optimization, and business growth.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian haulage laws, traffic regulations, and health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration or related field (MBA or professional certification is a plus).
• 3–10 years of experience in logistics/haulage operations, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian haulage operations, road networks, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in fleet management and workshop/maintenance coordination.
• Solid financial acumen and ability to manage budgets.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
