Head of Intelligence

About the role

The Head of Intelligence leads the collection, analysis and reporting of security intelligence across Dangote Cement’s operations in Nigeria and the wider Pan‑African region. The role safeguards assets, operations and reputation by providing proactive threat identification and mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead intelligence gathering, analysis and dissemination for all Dangote Cement locations.
• Produce daily operational security intelligence reports for the Group Head of Security.
• Identify, assess and monitor security threats affecting plants, critical movements and strategic projects.
• Develop intelligence‑led security strategies to enhance operational resilience.
• Collaborate with Plant Security Heads, business unit leaders and Social Performance teams to align intelligence activities with operational priorities.
• Maintain strong relationships with government agencies (Police, Military, Customs, intelligence services) and coordinate intelligence‑sharing initiatives.
• Conduct threat assessments for plant sites and strategic operations before execution.
• Monitor geopolitical, social and security developments impacting the business.
• Prepare and deliver detailed briefings, reports and presentations to senior leadership.
• Ensure continuous improvement of security intelligence systems and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies, Social Sciences or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Professional security certifications such as CPP, PSP, PCI, CPO, CSS or APP are an advantage.
• Military or paramilitary background is desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant security experience, preferably within a government security agency.
• Proven experience working with senior stakeholders and security partners.
