Head of Commercials & Partnerships (Hybrid)

About the role

The Head of Commercials & Partnerships will own GetPayed's full commercial engine, driving market expansion, strategic partnerships and revenue growth across Nigeria's payments market.

Key responsibilities

• Define commercial positioning, build multi‑year growth strategy and translate it into quarterly plans.
• Design and scale distribution models, direct sales, agent networks and digital acquisition to reach merchants at volume.
• Build and negotiate high‑value strategic partnerships with banks, telcos, fintechs and other ecosystem players.
• Own commercial revenue targets, pipeline visibility, forecasting and new monetisation opportunities.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing commercial organisation, fostering a data‑driven, results‑focused culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related field; MBA is a plus.
• 8‑10 years progressive experience in commercial, business development or growth leadership, primarily in fintech, payments or agent banking.
• Proven track record of building or scaling a payments or financial services business in Nigeria.
• Hands‑on experience designing and managing large field/agent networks and closing high‑value partnership deals.

Required skills
