Head, Business Development and Growth Strategy

About the role

The Head of Business Development and Growth Strategy will act as the commercial spearhead of Lemstar Africa Energy, driving revenue growth and positioning the company as a preferred partner for energy operators across Africa. The role works closely with senior executives to translate opportunities into delivered value.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and prioritize business opportunities across Nigeria and the wider African market.
• Maintain an active, tiered opportunity pipeline and provide weekly status reports to executive management.
• Lead end‑to‑end bid preparation, coordinating internal subject‑matter experts to produce technically compliant and commercially competitive proposals.
• Develop pricing strategies, commercial risk assessments and executive summaries for tender submissions.
• Build and sustain trusted relationships with IOCs, indigenous operators, mid‑stream companies, government agencies and development finance institutions.
• Execute targeted account plans, track engagement activities and conduct post‑bid reviews to improve win rates.
• Represent Lemstar at local and international energy conferences and exhibitions, delivering presentations and technical papers.
• Support the annual business planning process with market sizing, revenue targets and sector priorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, bid management and strategic account management within the energy sector.
• Strong understanding of EPC, operations & maintenance, gas commercialisation and upstream development services.
• Ability to work closely with senior executives and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
