Graphics Designer

About the role

Build-a-Tech Incubator & Workspace is a hardware technology accelerator that equips start-ups with resources, mentorship and tools to build tech products. It is looking for a full-time, on-site Graphics Designer in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, to create high-quality visual materials that communicate its programmes, projects and impact across digital and print channels.

Key responsibilities

• Design fliers, posters, banners and other promotional materials.
• Develop brochures, pitch decks, programme reports and branded documents.
• Design and format grant reports, impact documents and technical publications.
• Keep the brand identity consistent across all outputs and prepare print-ready files with correct digital export specs.
• Work with technical and programme teams to turn complex information into clear visuals, and keep design files organised with version control.

Required profile

• A degree or certification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field is preferred; experience and skill in the duties and skills listed are weighed more heavily than formal qualifications.
• Applicants without formal degrees are encouraged to apply.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.
• Strong layout and typography skills and experience with multi-page documents such as reports and proposals.
• Ability to follow brand guidelines and strong attention to detail and time management.
• Optional: motion graphics (After Effects or Premiere Pro), Canva or similar social media tools, basic knowledge of print production, and basic photography or photo editing.

Shifts are 08:00–16:00, 09:00–17:00 or 10:00–18:00, with one Saturday per month (09:00–17:00). Salary is N100,000 to N150,000 per month depending on experience, qualifications and education. Apply through the employment application form on the careers page, which requires a Google account.
