Global Alliance Director – Technology Partnerships

About the role

Canonical is seeking a highly motivated Global Alliance Director to lead the Dell Technologies alliance worldwide. Reporting to the Head of IHV Alliances, you will shape strategy, drive joint business growth, and act as the senior liaison between Canonical and Dell.

Key responsibilities

• Build and own the global alliance strategy with Dell Technologies.
• Expand strategic relationships and enable Dell teams on the partnership.
• Grow business motions across sell‑to, sell‑through and sell‑with models.
• Increase Dell’s awareness of open‑source capabilities on Ubuntu.
• Manage, develop and grow a team of Business Development Managers.
• Deliver on revenue targets and provide the partner’s voice within Canonical.
• Travel internationally to drive partnerships in person.
• Align and support internal Canonical field teams to identify and grow opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Alliance Manager or Director.
• Solid background in Linux, virtualization, containers and cloud technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at executive level.
• Strong business acumen, strategic mindset and focus on revenue growth.
