Generator Technician – Full‑time (Abuja & Rivers)

About the role

The company is seeking a skilled Generator Technician to ensure reliable operation of generator sets across Abuja and Rivers State. You will be responsible for routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance testing of all power generators.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all generator sets, performing regular inspections and troubleshooting.
• Check battery charge status, conduct hydrometer and lead‑acid testing, and monitor radiator water and engine lubrication oil levels.
• Perform oil and filter changes as required and carry out weekly no‑load testing, recording results on standard forms.
• Maintain accurate logs of operating parameters, load tests, and all maintenance activities.
• Execute any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Generator Technician.
• Trade apprenticeship or comparable vocational training.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team without close supervision.

Required skills

• Generator set operation and maintenance.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Battery testing (hydrometer and lead‑acid).
