General Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic General Manager to translate the company’s business strategy into operational plans and drive performance across our subsidiaries in Port Harcourt and the wider Rivers State region.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business strategy into clear operational plans and ensure effective execution.
• Set, monitor and achieve revenue, profitability, operational and service targets.
• Oversee subsidiary performance and align activities with overall group objectives.
• Develop and enforce efficient processes, SOPs, controls and service standards across the businesses.
• Lead senior management teams, ensuring accountability and high performance.
• Identify opportunities for growth, cost reduction and operational efficiency.
• Monitor budgets, expenses, financial performance and resource utilization.
• Manage relationships with key clients, strategic partners, vendors, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Ensure high standards of customer service, operational quality and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare management reports, identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Support employee development, teamwork and a positive performance culture.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director on strategic decisions and business improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, aviation or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years’ relevant management experience, preferably in a senior leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience managing teams, business operations or multiple business units.
• Solid understanding of business performance, financial management and operational processes.
• Experience in aviation or a related industry is an advantage.
