General Manager – Café Operations

About the role

Zen Cafe is looking for a proactive General Manager to lead daily operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. You will provide hands‑on leadership, coordinate activities across all departments, and drive continuous improvements in efficiency and service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day café operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Identify operational gaps and implement practical solutions to boost workflow and productivity.
• Supervise staff performance, manage schedules, and foster a customer‑focused culture.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and ensure high‑quality dining experiences.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food‑safety standards.
• Prepare regular operational reports and communicate challenges to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing a restaurant, café or similar customer‑facing operation.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and drive team accountability.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with POS systems (preferred).
