General Manager – B2B Beverage Distribution

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our GI Distribution Business Unit, a technology‑enabled beverage distribution platform serving manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and hospitality partners across Nigeria. The role combines commercial leadership with operational oversight to drive growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Own the P&L for the business unit, delivering revenue, margin and growth targets.
• Develop and execute strategies for national sales across General Trade and Modern Trade channels.
• Expand market reach, optimise route‑to‑market effectiveness and manage pricing, trade terms and promotions.
• Oversee warehousing, logistics and distribution to achieve service excellence, improving OTIF, dispatch accuracy and cost‑to‑serve.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain teams to ensure product availability, inventory optimisation and compliance with write‑off policies.
• Manage trade spend, cash collections and working capital in partnership with Finance.
• Ensure compliance with procurement, internal controls and governance policies while mitigating commercial risks.
• Lead, coach and develop cross‑functional teams in sales, operations, trade marketing, planning and logistics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics or related field; MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• 10–18+ years of progressive experience in FMCG or distribution, with proven P&L responsibility.
• Strong track record in leading large sales and distribution teams and delivering commercial results.
