Full Stack Developer (Next.js & Laravel)

About the role

FoodHutz combines food delivery and restaurant reservations across the UK and Nigeria. We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to build and maintain high‑performance features using Next.js and Laravel, ensuring fast, SEO‑optimized experiences for our users.

Key responsibilities

• Build and optimise high‑performance pages in Next.js (SSG, ISR, SSR) and implement dynamic routing, metadata, and structured data.
• Create reusable React components with TypeScript and TailwindCSS.
• Integrate securely with Laravel APIs using REST or GraphQL.
• Design and maintain scalable Laravel APIs for ordering, reservations, payments and user profiles, including multi‑tenancy and role‑based access.
• Integrate payment gateways such as Stripe, Paystack, Flutterwave, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay; handle webhooks and asynchronous queues.
• Write efficient Eloquent queries and optimise caching with Redis.
• Maintain API documentation (Swagger/Postman) and implement versioning.
• Build SEO‑friendly page structures, optimise Core Web Vitals and configure sitemaps, robots.txt and hreflang for UK/Nigeria visibility.
• Monitor SEO health with tools like Google Search Console, Lighthouse, Ahrefs and GTmetrix.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on A/B testing and conversion tracking.

Required profile

• Proven experience building production‑grade web applications with a focus on performance and SEO.
• Strong understanding of both frontend (React/Next.js) and backend (Laravel/PHP) ecosystems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑moving startup environment.
