Freight Sales Account Manager

About the role

We are hiring a Freight Sales Account Manager for a UK‑based logistics client operating under the World Options franchise. The position is fully remote, based in Nigeria, and focuses on acquiring and managing UK SME accounts for parcel, pallet and freight services.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to UK businesses to introduce freight and logistics services.
• Qualify prospects, understand shipping needs and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Prepare accurate freight, parcel and pallet quotes using carrier portals.
• Onboard new clients and guide them through the shipping platform.
• Manage day‑to‑day account needs, including shipment tracking, carrier liaison and issue resolution.
• Handle customs documentation queries and delivery exceptions.
• Maintain CRM records, call logs and performance reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in outbound B2B sales, business development or account management within logistics, freight forwarding, courier or parcel companies.
• Confident and persuasive on the phone with a strong focus on outbound calling.
• Commercially aware and comfortable discussing freight rates, pricing and margins.
• Self‑motivated, organised and able to manage multiple accounts independently.
• Familiar with CRM tools and sales reporting.
• Available to work UK business hours remotely from Nigeria.
