Founding Product Engineer

About the role

We are building Aston's reservation and property‑management technology from the ground up. The role combines website and backend integration with the creation of property inventory and unit‑level availability systems. You will also shape reservation flow, payment recording, reconciliation support, and internal operational dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the reservation and property‑management platform.
• Integrate the public website with backend services.
• Develop property inventory models and unit‑level availability tracking.
• Build reservation flow and state handling to ensure reliable bookings.
• Support payment recording, reconciliation, and financial accuracy.
• Create operational dashboards and internal tooling for the team.
• Contribute to a technology foundation that can eventually support monthly rental services.

Required profile

• Strong full‑stack engineering judgement and ownership.
• Comfort designing data models where correctness matters, especially for availability and payments.
• Pragmatic approach to scope: ship useful systems before perfecting them.
• Genuine interest in solving operating problems, not just writing code.
