Founding Operations Lead

About the role

Trustawork is building a technology‑driven marketplace for West Africa’s informal workforce. As the Founding Operations Lead based in Port Harcourt, you will design and scale the operational backbone that connects clients with verified workers across a wide range of on‑demand services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day marketplace operations, ensuring a seamless experience for both clients and workers.
• Recruit, onboard, train and manage operations staff and support teams.
• Develop and continuously improve processes for worker onboarding, service quality control and client support.
• Handle complex customer and worker escalations quickly and professionally.
• Drive operational excellence by monitoring reliability, efficiency and service quality metrics.
• Build and expand the Operations team as the company grows.

Required profile

• Strong background in operations management and customer experience.
• Previous experience in an early‑stage startup or as a founder.
• Resident of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
