Formulation Scientist – Hair & Skin Care

About the role

The Formulation Scientist will own the development of styling and treatment products built on TSL's proprietary ReXI™ fibre. This is a hands‑on, end‑to‑end role that moves concepts to market‑ready formulas in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise hair‑care and skin‑care formulations from ingredient selection through bench testing to production‑ready scale.
• Collaborate with local and international partners and testing facilities to translate vague briefs into specific formulation changes and validate performance.
• Maintain regulatory compliance (SON, NAFDAC and international equivalents) and ensure safety, quality and performance standards are met.
• Document formulation processes, testing results and support claims substantiation for efficacy, safety and performance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on cosmetic or personal‑care formulation experience with full product ownership in hair or skin care.
• Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of formulation chemistry, ingredient interactions and product stability testing.
