Fire Fighter Supervisor – Night Shift (3‑Month Contract)

About the role

Samsung Heavy Industries Nigeria is seeking an experienced Fire Fighter Supervisor to lead night‑shift fire safety operations at its Lagos yard. The role is a 3‑month fixed‑term contract, renewable based on performance, and focuses on safeguarding personnel and assets in a heavy‑industry environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct nightly safety rounds and inspections across the shipbuilding and FPSO integration yard.
• Supervise and coordinate the fire‑fighting team during night shifts, ensuring rapid response to any incident.
• Implement and enforce fire safety procedures, emergency response plans, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain fire‑fighting equipment, conduct routine checks, and ensure readiness at all times.
• Report safety observations, incidents, and corrective actions to senior management.

Required profile

• Certified Firefighting/Fire Safety qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience in industrial fire safety.
• Demonstrated ability to lead night‑shift safety rounds.
• Prior experience in heavy industries, shipyards, or construction is a strong advantage.
• Immediate availability to mobilise and work exclusively night shifts.

Required skills

• Firefighting certification.
• Expert knowledge of emergency response protocols.
