Financial Planning Analyst

About the role

The Financial Planning Analyst will support WeLight Nigeria’s finance function by building and maintaining budget models, cash‑flow forecasts and performance dashboards. Working closely with the Country Coordinator and department leads, you will ensure financial plans reflect operational realities and provide timely insights for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and update the budget model; track budget vs. actuals daily and monthly.
• Identify and flag budget variances, document reasons and submit analysis for management validation.
• Develop short‑, medium‑ and long‑term cash‑flow forecasts and support treasury planning with HQ.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages, site‑level P&L statements and detailed finance review presentations.
• Maintain KPI dashboards and present monthly financial performance to management.
• Track capex and grant receivables, support financing analysis for DFI‑related funding facilities.
• Assist operational teams with capex/opex classification, controls and targeted cost analyses.
• Provide financial inputs to the Country Coordinator and undertake any related duties assigned by senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum a degree in a related field (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Economics).
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in financial planning, budgeting or cash‑flow management.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and senior management.
