About the role

The Financial Control & Reporting Lead will strengthen the financial control environment of a technology‑driven financial services company serving millions of Nigerians. This senior position bridges the Finance team and the Head of Finance, ensuring accurate month‑end close, robust reconciliations, and audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Support and oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely completion of management accounts and reporting packs.
• Review balance‑sheet reconciliations, high‑risk accounts, and resolve reconciling items promptly.
• Coordinate external and internal audit requests, maintain audit schedules, and track audit findings.
• Serve as first‑level reviewer for accounting schedules and provide guidance on accounting treatments.
• Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and support ERP implementation related to finance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Mandatory professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• 7‑10 years of experience in financial reporting, audit, and financial control.
