Financial Accountant

About the role

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting activities for Bauhaus Global Investment Nigeria, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with IFRS and local tax regulations. This role supports construction projects by providing precise cost tracking and revenue recognition.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting, general ledger, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Handle construction project accounting, including IFRS 15 revenue recognition and cost variance tracking.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, fixed‑asset accounting, and materials/inventory accounting.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws and statutory reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within the construction sector.
