Finance Operations Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Operations Specialist to join our team in Lagos. The role focuses on month‑end close, financial reporting, and ensuring audit‑ready records.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare net revenue reports, OPEX journals, management accounts, and consolidated P&L and balance sheet statements.
• Produce monthly cash reports and aged receivables/payables analysis.
• Review bank statement tagging, perform own‑transfer analysis, and maintain OPEX and PPE schedules.
• Support trial balance and general ledger accuracy.
• Execute balance‑sheet and income‑statement reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, and maintain reconciliation trackers.
• Prepare audit schedules, respond to auditor requests, and keep documentation audit‑ready.
• Identify and implement process improvements in accounting and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit or finance operations.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations.
• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (or in progress).
• Experience in fintech, banking or financial services preferred.
