Finance Operations Associate

About the role

The Finance Operations Associate supports the Finance Operations team and Director in daily finance activities, acting as a business partner for assigned service lines. You will help drive financial performance, provide insights, and ensure compliance with EY’s finance operating model.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse and distribute financial reports such as WIP, utilisation, AR, and MLO.
• Act as escalation point between business/client servers and finance functional leads (debtors, AP, WIP).
• Review unbilled inventory and accounts receivable, flagging risks to engagement managers.
• Assist with budget, planning and forecast preparation in consultation with finance and service‑line leadership.
• Analyse business KPIs, advise on levers to improve profitability, and present results to senior stakeholders.
• Provide training on finance best practices, new systems (Mercury) and tools.
• Support strategic and operational workforce planning for assigned service lines.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of finance experience in a fast‑paced, growth‑focused environment.
• Strong analytical ability, high attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (V‑lookup, pivot tables).
• Advanced Word (mail merge).
• Experience with SAP software.
• Familiarity with the Mercury finance system.
