Finance Manager – Nonprofit

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the financial operations of Restorative Justice for Africa, a nonprofit focused on justice reform for women and children. This full‑time, hybrid position is based in Abuja and ensures that the organization’s resources are aligned with program priorities and strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements and donor reports.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and nonprofit reporting guidelines.
• Coordinate with program teams to track project expenditures and support grant management.
• Contribute financial analysis and cost projections to funding proposals.
• Supervise financial processes, strengthen internal controls and liaise with auditors.
• Advise leadership on financial risks and opportunities.

Required profile

• Solid foundation in core finance and accounting, including budgeting and cash‑flow management.
• Experience in nonprofit or NGO financial management, grant budgeting and donor reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; professional certification (ACA, ACCA) is a plus.
• Demonstrated integrity, transparency and alignment with the organization’s mission.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel).
