Finance Manager – Microfinance Bank

About the role

The Finance Manager – MFB will lead the financial operations of AjoCard’s microfinance bank in Ikorodu. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial support for the bank’s mission of financial inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and submit required CBN reports.
• Monitor key performance indicators and provide financial analysis for strategic decision‑making.
• Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, and regulators to optimise financial processes and ensure accurate documentation.
• Contribute to risk management, internal controls, and policy development to support sustainable growth.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of microfinance banking operations and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; professional certification (ACA, ACCA) is a plus.
• Prior managerial or supervisory experience in microfinance, retail banking, or financial services.
• Ability to work on‑site in Ikorodu and thrive in a dynamic, mission‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash‑flow management.
