Finance Manager

About the role

StellarVera Development Company is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial management and reporting for its real estate projects in Ibadan and Oyo State. The role will support senior management with strategic financial insights, budgeting, and treasury functions to drive growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop financial strategies to support company growth, project viability, and long‑term portfolio performance.
• Advise senior management on capital allocation, investment opportunities and resource prioritisation.
• Record, reconcile and maintain accurate daily financial transactions, invoices, vouchers and payment approvals.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, management reports, variance analyses and cash‑flow reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Support preparation of budgets and forecasts and maintain proper accounting documentation.
• Develop and update financial models for property acquisitions, developments and sales projections, analysing feasibility, ROI and risks.
• Conduct market and competitor pricing analysis to inform property valuation and positioning.
• Review funding requirements, track project performance against forecasts and recommend adjustments.
• Forecast cash flow, manage liquidity, optimise resource allocation and oversee budgeting processes.
• Manage banking relationships, negotiate credit lines, apply for project financing and oversee debt facilities.
• Evaluate financing options, monitor repayment schedules and ensure compliance with debt covenants.
• Process monthly payroll, ensure accurate statutory deductions and manage employee expense claims and petty cash.
• Monitor and control operational costs, highlighting areas for cost efficiency.
• Monitor financial performance of properties, assess profitability and recommend actions to improve under‑performing assets.

Required profile

• Mid‑level finance professional with at least 36 months of relevant experience.
