Finance Lead

About the role

The Finance Lead will report to the Head of Finance in the UK and be responsible for leading and coordinating all restricted budgets for Christian Aid in Nigeria. The role provides business support, financial analysis and strategic oversight to the senior management team of the Multi‑Country Cluster.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and coordination for programme resources.
• Provide strategic financial leadership across a consortium of NGOs, agribusiness partners, financial institutions, youth organisations and government actors.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, financial accountability and value‑for‑money across all activities.
• Oversee financial systems and funding mechanisms that support youth‑led agribusinesses, apprenticeship models and digital learning platforms.
• Collaborate closely with consortium partners to align financial strategies with youth‑centred and gender‑responsive programming.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting and analysis, preferably in an NGO or development context.
• Ability to manage restricted budgets and ensure donor compliance.
• Strong analytical skills and experience providing financial information to senior management.
• Experience working with multi‑partner consortia and coordinating financial activities across organisations.
