Finance and Account Manager

About the role

Kenex Konsults International is seeking a Finance and Account Manager to lead the day‑to‑day financial and accounting functions of its construction business. This role will ensure accurate reporting, effective budgeting, and strong financial controls while supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance and accounting operations, including cash flow, AP/AR, and general ledger.
• Prepare, review and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Develop, monitor and adjust budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, Nigerian tax laws and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate tax preparation, filings and regulatory obligations.
• Maintain robust financial controls, conduct internal and external audits, and resolve audit findings.
• Analyze financial performance, identify variances and provide actionable insights.
• Supervise, train and evaluate finance staff, and review payroll, invoices and payments for accuracy.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• At least 2 years of progressive accounting/finance experience with managerial responsibilities.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, ANAN or CPA is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, taxation and financial controls.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
