Finance Accounting Manager

About the role

The Finance Accounting Manager will lead the company’s financial stewardship in Nigeria, ensuring compliance with the Central Bank of Nigeria and other regulatory bodies. The role is responsible for regulatory reporting, capital management, sustainability initiatives, and full tax compliance across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team, driving cross‑cultural communication with Nigerian regulators, external partners and the overseas group finance team.
• Manage treasury functions, maintaining strong relationships with local banks and third‑party channels and resolving operational issues efficiently.
• Oversee tax compliance, develop tax planning strategies in line with Nigerian tax laws, handle audits and inquiries from authorities such as FIRS and LIRS, and stay updated on policy changes.
• Coordinate annual external audits, strengthen internal control systems, and ensure timely issuance of audit reports.

Required profile

• Proven executive management and team‑building experience in a financial services environment.
• Excellent cross‑departmental and external coordination abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of Nigeria’s tax legislation, regulatory requirements and banking relationships.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with regulators and stakeholders.
