Finance & Account Officer

About the role

The Finance/Account Officer is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Utako and Kubwa, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company’s budgeting, cash‑flow and reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, update and maintain ledgers, invoices and financial statements in line with company policies and regulations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities, process payments and receipts, and reconcile bank and ledger accounts.
• Monitor cash flows and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, and provide support for internal and external audits.
• Maintain proper documentation for all transactions and respond to internal and external financial queries.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve financial processes and controls.

Required profile

• Strong finance and accounting knowledge with practical experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
• Analytical ability to interpret data, identify variances and deliver actionable insights.
• Effective communication and customer‑service skills for engaging internal teams, clients and vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certifications (ICAN, ACCA) are a plus.
• High integrity, attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
