Field Specialist – Completions & Wellbore Intervention

About the role

Baker Hughes is seeking an experienced Field Specialist to join its Completions & Wellbore Intervention team in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The role supports field operations across the assigned district, focusing on cased‑hole completions and wellbore intervention activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute multiple medium to high‑risk completions and wellbore interventions under supervisor direction.
• Ensure all supplied equipment is compatible with job‑specific tools and systems.
• Provide frontline customer support and complete all required paperwork before and after each job.
• Deliver on‑the‑job training for selected cased‑hole completion applications.
• Adhere to Baker Hughes HSE policies, legal compliance requirements, and core values.

Required profile

• Two‑year technical qualification or Associate’s Degree.
• Experience in completions and wellbore‑intervention field operations.
• Solid understanding of engineering concepts.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing job assignments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
