Field Service Engineer (Solar Energy) – Oyo

About the role

Jaza is expanding its solar‑powered hub network across Nigeria and needs a Field Service Engineer to ensure energy uptime at sites. You will travel to regional hubs, diagnose technical issues, and support the rollout of new solar installations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain power availability at hubs, quickly diagnosing and resolving technical faults.
• Support the setup and connectivity of new hubs, performing routine maintenance on solar and diesel energy systems.
• Oversee installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with local Jaza Stars and the data team to troubleshoot and document technical challenges.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of hub equipment and prepare regular health reports for the Regional Service Engineer.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience in technical or engineering roles within telecommunications or energy sectors.
• Proven ability to work independently, multitask and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Nigeria.
