Facilities Management Intern – Kano

About the role

The British Council is offering a 12‑month Facilities Management internship in its Kano office. This role provides students and recent graduates with hands‑on experience in the day‑to‑day operations of a busy office environment, supporting the delivery of safe, efficient and well‑maintained facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and learn facilities processes, stakeholder and vendor management under the guidance of the Facilities Team.
• Assist with proactive maintenance checks of office equipment and building infrastructure.
• Support security arrangements and ensure high‑quality customer care within the facilities unit.
• Help coordinate daily facilities services, project activities and prepare timely reports for the Facilities Manager.
• Provide logistical support for visitors and assist in planning vehicle and driver schedules.
• Contribute to building improvement activities by liaising with internal and external partners.

Required profile

• Current student or recent graduate interested in facilities management.
• Right to live and work in Nigeria.
• Strong interest in learning about building operations, maintenance and stakeholder coordination.
