Extension and Farmer Success Manager

About the role

The Extension and Farmer Success Manager will lead Vetsark’s farmer onboarding, extension support, farm monitoring and performance activities across poultry and aquaculture operations. You will ensure farmers achieve strong production, profitability, repayment and retention outcomes while supervising extension officers and field agents.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess, profile and onboard poultry and aquaculture farmers, completing KYC, farm assessments and baseline data.
• Track each farmer from input deployment through production, harvest and repayment, recommending renewal, expansion, suspension or removal.
• Develop and implement farmer training and production‑support programmes, providing guidance on feeding, vaccination, bio‑security, mortality management and general farm operations.
• Coordinate farm visits, virtual support and specialist interventions, ensuring adherence to approved production plans and input‑use schedules.
• Monitor bird or fish numbers, mortality, feed consumption, weight gain, production costs and expected harvest dates; ensure timely and accurate field reports.
• Help farmers improve productivity, reduce losses and increase profitability; develop corrective action plans for under‑performing farms.
• Maintain accurate harvest forecasts, conduct pre‑harvest assessments and coordinate with commercial, operations and offtake teams.
• Supervise and recruit extension officers and field agents, set performance targets and review field reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Extension, Fisheries, Aquaculture or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience in agricultural extension, livestock production or farmer support.
• Experience managing extension officers or field agents.

Required skills

• Knowledge of poultry and aquaculture production practices.
• Ability to monitor farm performance data and generate actionable insights.
• Experience delivering technical training and on‑site support to farmers.
