Executive Assistant to the Managing Director

About the role

Hamuna Courier and Logistics is looking for an Executive Assistant to the Managing Director in Kano. The role provides high-level administrative, organisational and operational support so that the Managing Director can stay organised, make informed decisions and implement strategic plans and daily operations efficiently. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Managing Director's calendar, appointments, meetings, business engagements and travel arrangements.
• Handle emails, phone calls, official letters and other communications on the Managing Director's behalf when required.
• Track decisions, assignments, deadlines and action points from meetings and follow up on them.
• Liaise with operations, dispatch, finance, customer service and other teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Prepare, review and organise business reports, meeting minutes, presentations, performance updates and other executive documents.
• Assist in monitoring company targets, delivery performance, customer satisfaction, staff productivity and other KPIs.
• Maintain organised records and office documentation, and support the implementation of business initiatives, partnerships, expansion plans and special projects.
• Conduct basic research, gather information and provide summaries to support decision-making; identify operational challenges and escalate urgent issues.
• Assist with proposals, client follow-ups and partnership opportunities, and maintain professional relationships with clients, partners, vendors and government agencies.
• Handle sensitive information, business strategies and financial documents with strict confidentiality.
