Evidence, Measurement, Learning and Impact Director, Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) Nigeria

About the role

Mercy Corps Nigeria, based in Abuja, is looking for an Evidence, Measurement, Learning and Impact Director for its Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) programme. This senior leadership position shapes and leads the programme's evidence, learning, impact and adaptive management agenda, turning data, evidence, technology and learning into strategic assets that improve performance, inform decisions and strengthen accountability. The position is contingent on donor funding.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership for the programme's Evidence, Learning and Impact agenda, positioning data, evidence, technology and learning as drivers of decision-making, portfolio performance and systems change.
• Design and oversee a portfolio-wide ecosystem of harmonized data systems, shared services, real-time decision support and consistent measurement across consortium partners.
• Drive the use of analytics, digital platforms, participant feedback, market intelligence and emerging technologies to inform strategy, adaptive management and investment decisions.
• Generate and curate evidence on what works, for whom and under what conditions, so that learning informs implementation, strengthens market systems and influences policy.
• Lead the design and evolution of an integrated measurement, learning and impact system covering adaptive management, real-time monitoring, impact measurement and accountability.
• Establish and oversee portfolio-wide data governance frameworks, standards and protocols for data quality, security, interoperability and ethical use of participant information.
• Develop shared services and learning, feedback and accountability systems, and champion digital tools such as dashboards, automation and AI.
• Build the capacity of consortium partners to generate, interpret and use evidence, and work with global, regional, technology, analytics and data teams to strengthen digital infrastructure.
