Entry-Level Business Development Officer

About the role

TraderSqr is seeking an enthusiastic Entry‑Level Business Development Officer to join its growing team in Lagos. This role offers a recent graduate the chance to develop core sales, client‑relationship and commercial growth skills with full training and support.

Key responsibilities

• Support the team in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Research potential clients, markets and business opportunities.
• Generate leads through calls, emails, social media and other channels.
• Contact prospective clients and introduce our products/services.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Assist in preparing proposals, presentations and business‑development materials.
• Follow up with leads and keep accurate records of activities.
• Help the team achieve business‑development and sales targets.
• Monitor market trends and identify growth opportunities.
• Attend client meetings, networking events and other business‑development activities as required.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a positive client experience.
• Contribute ideas for improving business‑development processes.

Required profile

• A degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Economics, Communications or a related field (other degrees considered).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence speaking with people and building professional relationships.
• Good organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Proactive, positive and willing‑to‑learn attitude.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Genuine interest in business development, sales and commercial growth.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of Google Workspace.
