Electrician

About the role

Eclat Human Resources is recruiting an electrician for its Operations department in Abuja, reporting to the Operations Manager. The position covers installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, wiring and fixtures, with an attractive salary.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain electrical systems, wiring and fixtures according to specifications and safety standards.
• Inspect and test electrical systems to identify issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Diagnose electrical problems and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Interpret blueprints, diagrams and technical drawings to plan and carry out installations and repairs.
• Collaborate with contractors and engineers so that electrical systems meet design requirements.
• Estimate materials and labour costs and provide accurate quotations to clients.
• Use hand and power tools, testing equipment and safety gear to work safely and efficiently.
• Install and maintain electrical panels, switches, outlets and lighting fixtures; test and repair motors, generators and control systems.
• Keep accurate records of work, materials used and hours worked.
• Provide good customer service by addressing client concerns and explaining electrical procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician.
• Experience with low-voltage systems such as security and fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of energy-efficient lighting and electrical technologies.
• Experience with HVAC and building automation systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency in installing, repairing and maintaining electrical systems, wiring and equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations and safety standards.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
