Early Years Teacher

About the role

The Early Years Teacher will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, encouraging learning through experience and play. You will work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to deliver a balanced curriculum that supports personal, social, language and physical development.

Key responsibilities

• Motivate and stimulate children’s learning abilities through experiential activities.
• Provide pastoral care and ensure a secure, supportive learning environment.
• Assist in developing children’s personal, social, language and physical coordination skills.
• Create visual aids and teaching resources to enhance lessons.
• Promote mathematical and creative development using stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play.
• Observe, assess and record each child’s progress.
• Maintain health and safety standards during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Stay updated with curriculum changes and best‑practice developments.
• Collaborate with colleagues and build strong relationships with parents.
