Early Years & Primary Educator

About the role

Aster Bloom Academy is seeking a dedicated Early Years & Primary Educator to join our team in Benin City. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality lessons that align with our curriculum and fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with school standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom that promotes effective learning.
• Assess, monitor and record pupils' academic progress.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials and classroom resources.
• Support pupils' intellectual, emotional, social and physical development.
• Promote positive behaviour and manage classroom discipline.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Integrate appropriate teaching resources and technology.
• Communicate regularly with parents about progress and well‑being.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, school events and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Minimum NCE in Education or related discipline.
• At least 3 years teaching experience in nursery or primary school.
• Experience with the British Curriculum is an advantage.
• Strong classroom management and lesson delivery abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for child development and values‑based education.

Required skills

• Good ICT proficiency.
