Driving Instructor

About the role

We are looking for a professional Driving Instructor to join our team in Port Harcourt. You will deliver both practical and theoretical driving lessons, ensuring learners acquire the skills and knowledge needed to pass their driving tests safely. The role involves maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and instructional quality.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct practical driving sessions and classroom theory lessons for learner drivers.
• Teach road safety rules, traffic regulations, and defensive driving techniques.
• Assess learners’ driving performance, provide constructive feedback, and track progress.
• Prepare students for licensing examinations and ensure they meet all regulatory requirements.
• Maintain training vehicles in clean, safe, and operational condition, reporting any faults promptly.
• Keep accurate training records and documentation of each learner’s development.
• Demonstrate proper vehicle handling, emergency procedures, and promote responsible driving habits.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE qualification.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• At least 24 months of experience as a driving instructor or professional driver.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and road safety regulations.
• Excellent communication, teaching ability, patience, and professionalism under pressure.
