Drilling Supervisor – Oil & Gas

About the role

Nestoil Plc, Nigeria’s leading indigenous EPCC company in the oil and gas sector, is seeking an experienced Drilling Supervisor to lead well operations in Warri, Delta. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective drilling activities while coordinating with multiple service teams.

Key responsibilities

• Run wells according to program, conduct pre‑job briefs, JSA, and verify permits‑to‑work.
• Supervise rig crew and service companies (directional, mud, cementing, wireline, fishing) and verify critical tests such as BOP, annular, and accumulator.
• Monitor pit‑gain, kick detection, and response; approve step‑changes, deviations, and contingencies.
• Maintain well barrier schematics and red‑line drawings.
• Track real‑time cost and time against look‑ahead schedules; produce daily ops reports, morning reports, and DDR verification.
• Enforce DROPS, lifting plans, confined‑space, and SIMOPS controls with marine and production teams.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of supervisory drilling experience.
• IWCF Level 4 certification.
• BOSIET/HUET and H2S certifications.
• Strong knowledge of swamp logistics and barge operations.
