Dispatch Rider

About the role

The Dispatch Rider will be responsible for the timely and secure pickup, transport, and delivery of packages and documents to clients and partners within Lagos. Working full‑time on‑site, the rider will use mobile applications to plan routes, confirm delivery details and update shipment status while ensuring items are handled with care.

Key responsibilities

• Plan efficient delivery routes based on Lagos road networks and traffic patterns.
• Confirm delivery information with dispatch coordinators and customers.
• Communicate regularly with the dispatch team and provide real‑time status updates via mobile apps.
• Inspect and maintain the motorcycle or delivery vehicle to ensure safe operation.
• Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures during each trip.
• Handle packages carefully, complete basic delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures.
• Deliver items in good condition and provide courteous, professional service to recipients.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Lagos road networks and traffic patterns.
• Valid motorcycle rider’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to ride for extended periods and manage multiple deliveries per day.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliability, integrity and strong attention to detail.
• Previous experience as a dispatch rider, courier or delivery personnel in Lagos is an advantage.
