Dispatch Rider

About the role

The Dispatch Rider is responsible for delivering items to customers, handling both indoor and outdoor shipments, and ensuring timely and safe delivery of documents, packages, and bulky items. The role involves verifying orders, managing inventory, and maintaining clear communication with customers throughout the delivery process.

Key responsibilities

• Inform customers about item availability, shipment dates, methods, and current status, and answer related queries.
• Contact customers to verify delivery addresses before dispatch.
• Pick up items and deliver them safely to customers on schedule.
• Collect payments for purchased items upon delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum Secondary School Leaving Certificate.
• Proven experience as a dispatch rider or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with relevant delivery routes.
• Enjoy motorcycling and possess strong riding skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Capability to work under pressure.
• Good numeracy skills for handling delivery and expense records.
• Polite demeanor and ability to get along with people.
