DevOps Engineer & Technical Instructor

About the role

Damolak Technologies Limited is seeking a hands‑on DevOps Engineer who will also deliver technical training. The role combines cloud infrastructure delivery on AWS with instructor‑led sessions for aspiring engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS).
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, and support deployments across dev, staging and production.
• Configure monitoring, logging and alerting with CloudWatch, Prometheus and Grafana, and ensure cloud security best practices.
• Deliver practical training on DevOps, AWS, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD, including labs, assessments and mentorship.
• Mentor learners through realistic DevOps projects, manage tasks in Jira and conduct sprint ceremonies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud or Platform Engineering.
• Strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly and mentor junior engineers.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with good teamwork and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS).
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Containerisation with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
• Linux administration, Bash/Python scripting.
• Version control with Git/GitHub, monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana.
