Deputy Managing Director – Seismic Exploration

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced and charismatic Deputy Managing Director to lead a leading seismic exploration organisation in Nigeria. The role combines strategic vision with hands‑on operational oversight of large‑scale seismic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and executive leadership across the organisation.
• Oversee large‑scale seismic exploration and acquisition projects.
• Drive business development, revenue growth and secure new contracts.
• Manage key client, regulatory, government and industry relationships.
• Ensure operational excellence, HSEQ compliance and project profitability.
• Mentor and lead senior management teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering, Surveying, Engineering, Earth Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in seismic exploration, geophysical services or upstream oil & gas.
• Proven senior management/executive leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of seismic acquisition methods and exploration technologies.
• Excellent strategic, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
• Master’s degree (MBA, MSc or equivalent) is an advantage.
